Landscapes and Wildlife

Day 1: A personal welcome and pick up at Hosea Kutako Airport, Windhoek. After lunch in Windhoek and some shopping we head off over the Khomas Highlands to the Namib Rand area. Here there will be some breathtaking landscape photography opportunities. We overnight at Barkan Dune Retreat and enjoy a sunset drive with amazing views over the dessert.

Day 2 : After an early morning sunrise landscape session and breakfast we head off to the world famous Sossusvlei area. Here we book in at Sossusvlei Dune Lodge. This lodge has a great setting inside the world famous Namibia Nauklauft Park.

Day 3: We leave before sunrise to the breathtaking Dead Valley and dune belt for another landscape session. We come back late morning and enjoy lunch and word famous apple strudel at Solitaire, a real oasis in the desert. From here we move on to Swakopmund. On the way we photograph flamingoes near Walvisbay. This is a furtile breading ground for this amazing bird species. In Swakopmund we book into the Strand Hotel with beautiful views over the Atlantic ocean.

Day 4: We go on a ‘little 5’ tour that explores the small desert inhabitant on the dunes nearby Swakopmund. Here you will get some close up macro shots of these amazing special adapted dessert creatures. After lunch we drive to Cape Cross on the Skeleton Coast to see thousands of seals together. Then we drive to Spitzkoppe, a mountain in the desert with great landscape photo sites. Here we stay at the Spitzkoppen Lodge nestled in-between the granite boulders.

Day 5: After breakfast and some more photography we move on to the highest mountain in Namibia, The Brandberg. Here we stay in the White Lady Lodge and have the oppurtunity to observe the desert elephants, a special adapted elephant for this harsh desert conditions.

Day 6: Today we drive to Etosha National Park, a world famous game park with wonderful wildlife and an enormous salt pan that stretches nearly the whole width of the park. We overnight at Dolomite Lodge that is situated on a koppie(small mountain).

Day 7: We have an early morning game drive and slowly make our way to Okaukuejo another camp inside Etosha. Here we sit at the waterhole in the camp and see the elephant and rhino come drink with the setting African sun in the background.

Day 8: Another early morning game drive and then we make our way to Halali, a camp in the middle of Etosha. On the way we visit a few waterholes. At Halali we have another photographic sunset session at the beautiful waterhole.

Day 9: Today we slowly make our way to Namutoni, a camp on the eastern side of Etosha. Numerous waterholes along the way where animals gather in their hundreds give us great sightings of plains game and hopefully some predator cats, elephant, giraffes and more.

Day 10: We move on to Onguma Private Lodge. The lodge is situated on the border of Etosha. Here they have a state of the art photographic hide where you are only meters away from animals coming to drink. We go on our last game drive in Etosha.

Day 11: After an early breakfast and photography hide session we drive 4 hours to our next destination, Waterberg National Park. It is situated on a plateau with beautiful views of the surrounding bush. We go on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 12: Today we go to Erindi, a big private game park with amazing wildlife. We go on game drives with their experience guides.

Day 13: Another exciting day in Erindi for more wildlife action.

Day 14: After a morning game drive and breakfast we pack and take the short drive to Windhoek and the end of our amazing tour.
